About Us
We are a national, democratic, liberal party, founded in Baghdad in 2024. We strive for an Iraq based on full citizenship, constitutional rights, sustainable economic development, and the state's sovereignty over its national decisions.
We draw our strength from the struggle of the Iraqi people and from the will for change, which was established by the eternal October Revolution.
The party exercises its responsibilities according to clear theoretical principles, and its organizational structure is based on a democratic internal system, in which responsibilities are delegated through free elections.
The organizational conference is held every four years to elect the Secretary-General, his deputy, and members of the General Secretariat. This is preceded by similar local conferences.
The General Secretariat leads the organizational and political work within the party, guiding its efforts in policy-making, program implementation, and achieving national goals. The Secretariat draws its vision from the party’s principles and the trust of its members.

The National Independence Party was founded on the belief that liberal democracy is the only viable path to a free, just, and unified Iraq. After decades of tyranny, sectarianism, corruption, and foreign interference, Iraq needs a bold, comprehensive, and forward-looking vision to rebuild its national identity and institutions.
The party advocates for a political system based on individual freedoms, equality before the law, and accountable governance. It aims to end sectarian and ethnic power-sharing by promoting a unified Iraqi citizenship that transcends identity-based divisions.
It supports freedom of expression, belief, and assembly as non-negotiable rights. The state must remain neutral in religious matters and protect minorities and all individuals from discrimination and oppression.
The party advocates for economic diversification and transparent public spending, and putting an end to systematic corruption. It supports merit-based civil service and fair access to national wealth, especially oil revenues, to eliminate poverty and dependence on patronage networks.
A strong legal system and independent judiciary are essential. All citizens, regardless of their status, must be equal before the law. Armed groups outside state control must be dissolved, and only the national army and police should bear arms. The state must restore its sovereign authority.
The party sees diversity as a strength, not a threat. It seeks to build a civil national identity that embraces all ethnic, religious, and regional communities. Women's empowerment is essential for national progress, with full rights to education, work, and political representation.
Rebuilding Iraq requires investment in modern and comprehensive education and a universal public healthcare system. These are strategic priorities for national development, social justice, and restoring dignity to citizens.
